We want to produce the WORLD’S LARGEST photo mosaic containing a million faces of people that support our troops. We want to donate the mosaic to a F.O.B. (Forward Operating Base) along with supplies to show support for our troops.
My name is Anthony Ciccarelli, the son of a retired Vietnam Vet, brother of an active duty Air Force officer and commissioning into the Army as a 2nd Lieutenant. My father shared with me how horribly he was treated after Vietnam (getting spit on and worse) and no matter your standpoint on political issues; we should always support OUR troops. My brother is currently in Afghanistan and I would like to help him and many others, with much needed supplies and support from our nation. I feel that this is my way of showing my appreciation to them and to those that continue to serve. Our troops will be directly affected by this, knowing that their country still continues to support them and we appreciate everything that they have done for us..
Now is just as important as before, with rising tensions around the world, people and nations are requesting American presence/support and it will be our troops and maybe even myself that will be sent to calm these situations. It is always re-assuring to know that you have the support from your friends, family, community and nation.
It is something small (like your picture) but when combined, it can create something large and attention getting (like our mosaic).

Judging by the community’s response and as a way to show our thanks, we would like to make it a very memorable Thanksgiving 2012.

Credit goes to my Leadership professor, Dr. Karen Middleton from TAMUCC. She does a service project every semester with her class and in my senior year of 2007, I lead a group of classmates and we went into the community and asked for donations to create Christmas gift baskets for soldiers in Iraq. After graduating, I have been looking for a business idea that gives back to the community and has a worthy cause. People talk about supporting our troops, but how much of that support do the troops actually see. I think with a million faces, it will definitely get their attention and prove that “WE Support OUR Troops!”
